This is a 6 week unit of work for KS3 focusing on
a) changes in retailing up to the rise of online shopping
b) the social history of the textile industry - with a focus on Irish linen and the enslavement of the working class population in Belfast
c) the modern day fashion industry - with the enslavement of the workers in LEDCs to provide fast fashion.
d) the need to shift to sustainability in fashion
